KP: I don't know. I'm not quite current on recent events.

Tran: YOU DON'T? WELL, IT HAS BEEN A WHILE. COME, LET'S TAKE A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE!

KP: This is...an exhibit. It's called 'Character Battle 6'.

Tran: AH YES, THE FIRST FOUR-WAY CONTEST. THAT WAS WHERE WE FIRST PREDICTED TOGETHER ON THE CREW. TOGETHER, THE TWO OF US REALLY KICKED SOME ASS AND SHOWED THOSE CASUALS WHO WAS BOSS.

KP: Do you know what he's talking about?

Moltar: I...don't think so, but this does seem...familiar.

Tran: THOSE WERE SOME GOOD TIMES. WALLS OF TEXT FOR WRITE-UPS AND HAIKUS, I REALLY WAS SOMETHING BACK THEN. SO YOUNG AND FULL OF SPIRIT.

KP: This exhibit has some interesting things. A black-haired Cloud, GAMEFUEL, a L-shaped block on top of a fallen Link. Does any of this ring a bell?

Moltar: I...I don't know. Ugh, my head feels like it's spinning.

Tran: KEEP GOING, TO THE NEXT EXHIBIT!

KP: This one is called, 'Game of the Decade'.

Tran: OH, THIS ONE IS SAD. IT'S THE LAST TIME WE ANALYZED TOGETHER, BUT THAT GAME OF THE DECADE CONTEST REALLY WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL.

KP: Shadow of the Colossus, Melee vs. Brawl, Majora's Mask...

Moltar: Ugh...Ah..ahhhhhhh

KP: What? Did something happen?...Moltar, your nose...it's bleeding.

Moltar: Huh?

KP: What does this mean?

Moltar: Oh, it's just because I was readin-actually nevermind.

After seeing Steve end up a good distance behind Pac and Drake, it's hard for me to say that Creeper will compete with Wario, who is weak, but a known Nintendo character in Smash here. Like Game and Watch, that's probably all he needs in order to win this.

lol king of all cosmos. He was weak back in 2005 and I doubt he's aged well.

Moltar’s Prediction: Creeper: 35% - Wario: 47% - King: 18%



Lopen’s Analysis

Uhhh I've heard hype about Creeper being some sorta joke vote target. I just don't think, the Minecraft series has the appeal on GameFAQs for the thing to be anything but an ugly blob, with said ugly blob likely getting ugly blob SFFed by Wario.

... aww, okay Wario, that was harsh.

But seriously barring the dumbest "rally" this side of Draven I just don't think the votes are there for anything minecraft related. Thing is probably going to hover around the KoAC level more than Wario's. And honestly, I'm not even sure it beats him. If I was picking an upset just for the sake of it this seems like a good one to gamble on, but given that STEVE didn't look completely awful it's probably safer to have him at #2.

Lopen's prediction:
Wario - 52.53%
Creeper - 25.25%
KoAC - 22.22%



Leonhart’s Analysis

I’m not sure what to make of this match. Steve didn’t do completely terribly against Drake and Pac-Man, both of whom I’d take to beat Wario, and Creeper should be noticeably stronger than Steve. Despite Wario being a Mario character, I don’t think people really care about him, and his past results bear that out. He’s never finished first in a poll, and he’s been SFF’d pretty hard on multiple occasions. He’s definitely vulnerable here if Creeper turns out to have anything resembling real strength.

Not sure that it will though since this site doesn’t care about Minecraft. About half the site has never even played it, and probably a decent chunk of the other half don’t care enough about it to support Creeper. I guess if Minecraft fans are willing to rally for the thing, it can win, but I don’t like predicting based on the assumption something’s going to get a rally. So if it comes through and I’m wrong, so be it, but I’ll (somewhat reluctantly) stick with Wario. There’s a decent chance KoAC could sneak into second here if Creeper stinks up the joint, but we’re way past what little heyday Katamari had at this point.

Kleenex’s Analysis

Alright, so Steve was a bust. And even still, I'm thinking about picking Creeper here just because Wario and King suck. Unfortunately, Wario is probably not quite sucky enough to lose to a pixelated penis with a face. Probably. Minecraft just doesn't seem to have the strength needed on the site to pull off anything silly, especially with Allen cracking down on funny business lately.

go tidus (no hope unless Allen intervenes which seems highly unlikely)

Wario is always worse than I expect. That worries me in this match -- not enough to pick a Minecraft thing or a King that is at least five years past its prime, but enough to make me think that Wario could get kinda embarrassed here. We'll see.

KP's Analysis

Pretty worried about this match after seeing Steve do 'okay'. Creeper has every reason to be way, way stronger than him. Wario isn't a very likable Nintendo character, either, so I could see people voting against him easily. I'll stick with Wario here because he's never done *horrible* and this site is still very ignorant of new game.

Guest’s Analysis - nameplz

Trannies.

I once met one at work. The...whatever it was was wearing a pink zip-up sweatshirt and black short shorts, had lipstick, and long, blond hair. I was at a loss to whether this was a man in woman’s clothing, a woman that tried but failed to become a man, a man that became a woman...and the weirdest thing was that (s)he wasn’t wearing a bra. This made me more baffled than usual. Weird.

No idea who takes second since both these guys are going to be extremely weak based on what we've seen so far. Missile did beat Kerrigan, but I'll just say that was because of DogFAQs and that Sissel won't benefit from that so dishonored dude takes it...maybe

So we've got Pokemon Trainer from Smash Bros vs I think some guy from Elite Beat Agents and a black shadowy abortion of visual design principles.

I could try and determine whether the black splotch thing can beat a Detective J but who actually cares. Do you care? Do I care? Just pick the Brawl character at #1 and no pick the other two and save yourself the trouble of predicting these other two jokers.

Leonhart’s Analysis

No excuses for Red this time around! He’s got a Pokemon R/B/Y pic and two characters who should be pretty bad fodder (Seriously, how does Pokemon keep getting these matches against two weak fodder guys?). Dishonored did halfway decent in GOTY, finishing a clear second behind Assassin’s Creed III but well ahead of everything else, but we’ve seen way too many new Western characters bomb at this point to expect him to be worth much of anything. And while Missile turned out to be better than expected, I don’t expect much out of Sissel because he is not, in fact, a dog. So yeah, show us what you’ve got, Red. We’re waiting.

Normally I'd take this time to complain about another Pokemon character winning a match, but as much as I loathe most of them I can't even be mad here because Red's opposition is probably the worst in the entire contest barring Chester/Zero. Corvo is from a game that happens in first person that was released within the past year. It's got guns, and it's western and it's new so SPOILER ALERT GameFAQs will not give two craps about it. Sissel is from another game that people have not played and he is not a dog heh so he's not getting any votes either. Next.

Transience’s Analysis

Red should crush this poll of weaklings, right? Sissel is like a homeless man's Phoenix Wright and Corvo is from an action/stealth game released in 2012 as a new IP. But then there's the fact that Pokemon is not universally loved for something as popular as it is, and doubly so for this match since we just got finished with the Missingno traveshamockery in those last 20 minutes. But even that shouldn't stop him from reaching for the sky here.

Guest’s Analysis - LinkMarioSamus

After Blue's impressive performance, Red is pretty much expected to blow out this fodderrific competition.

Sissel's dog also put up an impressive performance, so I think it's reasonable to expect him to do the same, or at least expose his fodderrific competitor. You know why? Well, let's look at that Corvo Attano. The match pic does him no favors - he blends into the background, and he looks kinda generic when put next to the in-your-face smiles of Red and Sissel. Oh, and the consistent bombing of characters from recent games and "generic" characters does not help Corvo's cause either. Then to top it off, Corvo's game isn't even particularly popular for a recent game!

Believe it or not, I was seriously considering Corvo > Red for some time in the bracketmaking phase, but now, I think Corvo's dead.
