whatsup. so im just this random guy enrolled in my first gamefaqs contest. and yeah found you guys about halfway into the contest when i saw a thread with like 400 posts o.o i ended up reading about half of the remaining analyses after that. so yeah just want to thank you guys for being very entertaining. the posts were insightful and often very witty, and I can imagine the burden it must have been. originally i only read ngamer because of his enthusiastic tone, but he stopped doing his long paragraphs so i read everyones. and you all were equally interesting :) i wasnt going to post on this, but just proving to lopen that random people DO still read the analyses for fun =] and i beat you, master moltar =] --- i love pokemon~ |

Round 7 Tea Party *Location: The Final Battlefield.* Moltar: Alright Karma, it’s just you and I now. No one else will interfere. Can you really explain this contest with voters? Then let me hear it! Karma: Alright Moltar, here it comes! First, I’m going to predict what you’re going to do for Round 7! Moltar: Hoh! I was going to tell you for free, but if you think you’re so hot, let me hear it! Karma: Ha, at first I thought Link would crush Cloud. I mean, Cloud had been looking underwhelming, while Link easily defeated Sonic and Mario. However, the truth is that Link is actually weaker than before! His performances in Rounds 1 through 4 weren’t as strong as they would have been in the past! Look at his matches against MM or Yoshi if you don’t believe that! Cloud has also dropped in strength, as you can see through Samus and Snake, as well as in his other matches. Therefore, Link will beat Cloud in the Finals were a percent close to that of 2006! Moltar: !!! Impossible! Karma: If it’s not true, then try to repeat it in bold! Moltar: …Grr…In the Final Round, Link will defeat Cloud with a percentage smaller of that in 2006. There! I told you I would give you a freebie! Karma: Ha, so my theory there holds. Now pretty much all of the top half has been explained. On to the bottom half! Moltar: Yes…explain Snake! This is what made the others submit! Can you come up with some human reason for Snake? Karma: Hmm… Moltar: Yes, that’s right. Let me see that look of pain. Let me see that look of frustration! Rattle your tiny little brain all you want, you’ll never be able to explain it! Bow to me and kiss my feet! Fall like all the others in front of my magic! Karma: Damn Moltar…you sure do talk a lot. Well, I have two words for you. Moltar: Ooh! Ooh, let me guess! “I quit!” or maybe, “I surrender!” How about, “I submit!” Ahahahahahaha! Karma: ………..Bandwagon Theory Moltar: …What? Karma: Bandwagon Theory. With this, I can explain Snake, as well as Charizard, and even L-Block from a previous game. In fact, I can explain many results over all of the past games with this one theory. Moltar: I don’t believe it! Let me hear it! Karma: First, there was Missingno. He was the underdog against Crono, but that gave him special strength. It gave Missingno the power it needed in order to boost to Crono’s level and beat him. Moltar: But there are plenty of underdogs in matches! Why Missingno? Why it alone?! Karma: Because…it was funny. Just like L-Block in 2007, it was a funny joke that people could get behind. Along with being from the popular Pokemon franchise, that was all it needed. After it beat Yoshi, it went on to Sephiroth. However, it didn’t have the momentum it needed to win. Moltar: Momentum? What is this now? It lost because it had no momentum? Karma: Yes! That’s how a bandwagon is built! It starts small, but when it overcomes a hurdle that people didn’t expect it to, it grows, and more people get behind it! They start to put their hope and faith in it, and that gives it strength!! In fact, you can say that the hope and faith of the others you forced to submit are giving me the strength to defeat you right now!!!! |
Moltar: Hoh! Continue then. Karma: Fine, unlike L-Block, it couldn’t build up enough momentum to topple the extremely strong Sephiroth. However, it did give the people hope that Sephiroth could be beaten! That’s why Tifa did so well on him in the next round! People wanted to see Sephiroth fall! Moltar: This…this is so ridiculous! Just shut up and stop spewing nonsense! Karma: No! I’m going to let the truth be heard! People did want to see Sephiroth fall! That’s why, when it came to Snake, he was able to win! The bandwagon, as well as his pure strength, pushed him over Sephiroth!! While it wasn’t enough to defeat Cloud, he did manage to get 48% on him, a number that the Snake of old would have never been able to get! … That explains it!!! Snake performed the way he did because of the Bandwagon Theory! *Suddenly, Moltar was impaled by a large spear* Moltar: Gwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….gur…gah Karma: This is it, Moltar. Your illusions have been pierced by the truth. The truth of the existence of voters! They are the ones who determine this contest! They are the ones who determine who wins and who loses!! Not you!!! Moltar: Hah…that’s good…Karma…but…you still haven’t managed…to explain everything. Karma: …….You’re right. I can’t explain everything. No one can yet. We don’t have all the answers. … However, I will make it my goal to figure out everything. I’ve already put several pieces in place, but I won’t stop until the entire puzzle has been completed! The more games there are, the closer I’ll get to the truth! Moltar: Another game?...Ha, you sure do like this torture….It could all end…if you just gave up…right here. Karma: You think this is torture for me…endlessly subjecting me to all of these games and their crazy results… …But this… …is actually… …torture for YOU! I’m never going to give up! I will defeat you, Moltaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!!!!!!!!! *glass breaks* *Two witches discuss the results of the game in a fancy bedroom.* Lopen: Thus…the Winter 2010 game reached its conclusion. After most of the players had given in to Moltar, one Guest refused to submit. He managed to severely wound Moltar by weaving a truth of his own that Moltar did not refuse with the Bold Truth. However, he could not explain everything that had happened. Therefore, the game once again ended in a draw, with neither side being able to fully carry out their objective. Tran: So that means that we’re going to have another game soon, right Lopen? Lopen: Yes, but first, we must rest for a while. Tran: You know; I’m surprised Moltar let Karma say all that stupid stuff. You and I know that his theories are so far out there, they can’t possibly be the actual truth! Lopen: That is how Moltar is. He really is a foolish one. He just wanted to put on a dramatic show. A part of me thinks that he just wants to keep doing this forever…heh At least we managed to motivate Karma again. Tran: Yeah, if we didn’t willingly submit to Moltar before, he never would have gotten his spirit back! Even Red Sox and Ngamer knew and went along with it! Haha, Moltar actually thought that we would accept his make-believe stories of Endless Voting magic! What a dummy! Lopen: Kleenex actually believed it was real too…ugh, that child… Anyway, with Karma Hunter stepping in once again, I’m sure this should be very entertaining for us. His battles with Moltar always manage to keep us from boredom. Tran: And in the end, that’s what’s most important! We’ll keep Moltar and Karma at odds forever! Lopen: Yes, as long as the game ends in a draw, then another one must be made. If there is never a winner or a loser, then the games will never end. Tran: And that means… Lopen: Our boredom… Lopen and Tran: Will never end! *giggle*. *End* |

percentile.....but the Crew would have scored high enough to win prize

was definitely a brutal contest as far as the sheer number of matches.
Can't say I really even started paying much attention until round 3 but
I still like reading analyses. Recharge your batteries and gird your

Whoo, what a fun tie! Shame I couldn't nail one more match for the Accuracy, but ah well. I'm on board for next season, for sure. (Assuming 1v1 Characters or Games.) I think I actually would have been able to manage the 2 matches a day, but that combined with running The Show really left me in a crunch for free time...
