DpOblivion's Unofficial Guest Analysis: Figures, last match of the contest, and I'm late, despite the fact that I've been at home. Caught up in my new Madden 07. Well anyway, there's not much left to say. Link wins, everyone knows that (checks the poll because I can - yup, and handily, too). But I must say, I had low expectations when it was announced that there would be seperate male and female brackets, but this turned out to be possibly the most excited contest ever. Snake with his surprise run through the male bracket, then surprise run in the Battle Royale topped off by his epic finish against Sephiroth. Zelda running wild through the women's half. Luigi > Zero and Kirby, yeah I called that. Yoshi > Riku and Dante, that one too, though that was actually common. Sub-Zero over Master Chief. And of course.....SONIC OVER CRONO!!! Anyway, it was a lot of fun doing my unofficial Quick Analyses throughout the contest to go alongside the Crew's. Kinda impressed with myself that I actually made it all the way through. Props to Moltar for running this again, as well as finishing on the leaderboard (so what if it's with an alt, it's still your name). Here's to looking forward to next year's contests, and next year's Contest Analysis Crews (maybe I could even be back officially..... <_<). And as always.......GO SONIC! Props to all of you for a great analyses! Although Ulti, you might want to show some PASSION. But enough of that... This has been a great year. Like Okami, it started off slowly (VERY slowly), but there were so many good matches. The Snake run, the hillarious creation of the ZSS factor (she still beat Snake. How can it NOT be the suit?), and all kinds of twists and turns that no one would've expected (Crono? Crono? CRONNNNOOOOOO!). Even if it did end w/the greatest Link blowout in history yet (I put down the pro-Cloud majority to the fact that everyone knew Moltar was going to win anyway). Greatest contest ever? Probably not. But a lot better than I thought! --- VIVA LA REVOLU-er, Wii!! Thank you Nintendo, thank you very much. |

Aha! See, Lopen? See? Told you! Heh... never underestimate the love for random factors prefixed by letters, I guess. Well, you'll never see me use it! Why mention ZSS Factor when I could instead make even more Barbie jokes? Pretty hilarious that two of us went nuts there... in all honesty I'd have just picked Link with ~55%, citing that there's no way Cloud could scoop up 75% of Snake's fanbase. So...what would have been different in the BR if it had Crono in it instead of Solid? I actually had Samus beating Crono in my Battle Royal. Crono is probably the ONLY character I would have had Samus beating out of the Noble Nine... I saw them both getting around 8ish percent. I dunno, I just couldn't see Crono getting tons of votes as a favorite with the likes of Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, and Mario in the poll. Sure Chrono Trigger is popular, but I still don't see many hardcore Crono fans. He definitely would have done worse than Snake did in the first poll (and overall obviously). Either Samus/Crono would have been a nail biter or Mario/Crono would have been. Moltar, did you forget the predictions for Link vs. Solano? ...........yes And just for some final comments, I think trimming the Crew to 7 spots was a great idea. Made things much easier for me, and most likely the readers. Also, I'd like to thank everyone who wrote for the Crew this year. The regulars were great about sending their stuff in early, as were much of the Guests. Speaking of the Guests, the spot worked ou very nicely for something completely new.
